MEMORIAL CEREMONY FOR SHODMON YUSUF IN VIENNA

On August 10, 2025, a memorial ceremony will be held in Vienna in honor of Shodmon Yusuf, founder of the Democratic Party of Tajikistan and Doctor of Philosophy and Economics.

Shodmon Yusuf was a prominent political and transnational figure who dedicated his life to the causes of independence, freedom, and social justice in Tajikistan. He earned doctoral degrees in both philosophy and economics. In addition to being a thinker and scholar, he was recognized as one of the leading public intellectuals of the late 20th century Tajik community. His contributions to Tajikistan’s path to independence and the development of modern political thought are of great significance. He leaves behind a rich legacy of academic and intellectual work.

Shodmon Yusuf passed away on July 21, 2025, in Vienna, far from his homeland, after a period of illness.

The memorial and farewell ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 10 at 14:00, at the following address:
