“OIINA” - A PLATFORM FOR REALISTS

Three years ago, on World Press Freedom Day, a new independent analytical platform emerged in the media landscape of Tajikistan — “Oiina.”

Symbolically named “Oiina” (meaning “mirror” in Tajik), the portal was founded with the mission to reflect reality as it is without embellishment, distortion, or omission.

The site presents itself as an independent analytical platform, committed to inclusivity and free from any form of discrimination. We do not shy away from any topic that serves the public interest, while strictly adhering to the principles of law, journalistic ethics, and respect for human dignity.

“Oiina” neither exaggerates nor diminishes. Like a mirror, we strive to present an unfiltered reflection of reality, be it progress or problems, those in power or ordinary citizens, the affluent or the marginalized. We conceal no one’s wrongdoing, amplify no one’s merit, and replace no fact with interpretation. 

The true author of “Oiina” is its reader.

Everyone who speaks with honesty, impartiality, and responsibility is welcome to share their voice. We offer a platform to truth-seekers, critical thinkers, and conscientious citizens, to those who care about their society and wish to view it not through illusions, but through the mirror of truth.

We have no hidden sponsors, nor do we cooperate with any political entity whether in Tajikistan or abroad. The platform is funded solely by its creative team.

 Following a forced hiatus in 2023, during which all previously published materials were lost, we remained committed to our mission. Many articles have since been recovered and republished, and the work continues.

“Oiina” is a window into truth, not a mirror for self-admiration.
